Here we chat to Studios 301’s music engineers, Tim Carr and Mike Morgan, about their passion for music, how they became highly skilled music engineers and what it’s like to work in one of Australia’s most highly respected studios.

Studios 301 is owned by the School of Audio Engineering. Studios 301 is very much considered an Australian music industry icon, as many high profile Australian recording artists have passed through its doors, such as: Slim Dusty, Peter Allen, The Angels, The Church, John Farnham, Hoodoo Gurus, Air Supply, Icehouse, INXS, The Divinyls, Silverchair, Powerderfinger, Jimmy Barnes, Delta Goodrem, Paul Mac, Midnight Oil, Regurgitator, Grinspoon, You Am I, The Vines. International artists who have recorded there include Bob Dylan, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Van Halen, Simple Minds, Prince, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Stevie Nicks, Boy George, Snoop Dogg, Kiss, Metallica, Kanye West and The Black Eyed Peas.
