Pure Surfboards
This story shows the technical skills and tools required in designing and repairing surfboards, and Richard Quiggan demonstrates the tools and equipment he uses to construct his work of art.
Richard's business involves repairing, making boards from scratch and airbrushing. He has learnt all his skills (which include a knowledge of carpentry, having an eye for detail, and steady hand coordination) on the job in different countries and factories around the world, but says the vital thing to have is an obsession with surfing!
