Fixing Chairs with the Chair Doctors

The Chair Doctor was founded over 25 years ago, but Tony Martin bought the company in 2004. He was working for a company called Commercial Furniture (a furniture design company) which was actually next door to The Chair Doctor, and when it closed down he decided - having knowledge and experience in furniture - to buy the place next door. Tony, who has always been good with his hands, taught himself the welding and upholstery that was required to fix chairs.

The 'doctors' repair all types of household chairs, office chairs, lounges and recliners, both modern and antique. They offer chair restoration for both commercial and private clients. The company is proactive and resourceful in trying to recycle the materials from old chairs, to prevent them from ending up in landfill.
