Sydney Local Community Partnership (LCP) works closely with schools and industry in the Inner Sydney region to help all 13 to 19 year olds to gain skills, experience and information as they move through and beyond school through a range of career transition programmes.

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

The Sydney LCP website contains lots of useful resources to help you to plan for your future, including:

Career Passport and its activities will guide you through the career planning process highlighting the research and information needed to make well informed decisions. The 'Useful weblinks' section will signpost you to career related websites to help you with that planning;  

Sydney LCP Apprenticeship Directory will signpost you to some of the many group training organisations and employers who regularly offer apprenticeships and traineeships to young people; and

Email alerts that are available online will also keep you updated of some of the career related information that has been sent out to your school career adviser.

FOR SCHOOLS

Email Alerts available on our website provide a range of career related information from apprenticeships and traineeship opportunities, career/industry events, career related initiatives, and competitions. 

Practitioner Resources also available on http://www.sydneylcp.com.au/ will provide useful Government and LCP publications to use in career lessons or to distribute at parent events or career markets.

FOR EMPLOYERS

Inform young people of apprenticeship, traineeship and job opportunities in your company by using our Apprenticeship Directory and/or Email Alert service. These are free services and are extensively used by schools and youth groups. 

Get involved in developing young people's industry awareness, skills and employability by hosting Year 11 & 12 students in work placements, or participate in school activities including mock interviews, industry talks etc.
